Using the Media to Build Your Business

Guest Post by Dave Lakhani, Speaking at the upcoming Authority Summit!
If you’ve been in business for any length of time, you know that publicity is one of the fastest ways to build your business. If your customers have seen you in their favorite magazines and newspapers, or have heard you on their favorite radio show, you have already become familiar and relevant to them.

Familiar means they begin to feel like they know you, and relevant means you are talking about something they care about. Familiarity and relevance are two key traits of master persuaders. When you are skilled at persuading, you are able to influence customer or clients to buy much more easily.

Getting your name in the media doesn’t need to be difficult; but the effort it does take is time well spent. Not only do you get your name into print or on TV or radio, you also build a powerful asset which can propel your business into the future.

In a sense, what I’m referring to is repurposing your publicity. I, for example, have been quoted in hundreds of major magazines, and have even appeared on the Today show. Now, when I go and speak to a new audience, can you see that I would be instantly credible? (Rarely does anyone ask me what I was quoted on or why I was interviewed!)  Media mentions can quickly and easily build your expert status. Most people work really hard to get that first mention, but have no idea how to re-utilize this first mention to create an avalanche of new business.

If you would like to learn how to use the media for influence, I would strongly recommend that you attend this year’s . There, you will have a chance to learn directly from Dave Lakhani, one of the world’s best persuaders and an expert on using the media for business acceleration. Dave routinely charges thousands of dollars for his time; but you don’t need to spend that much.

Buy your ticket for the Summit right now; and grab a front row seat to Dave’s presentation. You’ll be able to apply this information immediately: boosting your expert profile and your bottom line.
