This video is almost like a family home movie in a way. So proud to know all but one of the people in it from the early days of Google+.
The astronaut? Talked to him on G+. Never would’ve happened on Facebook.
Daria, the musician in the beginning? I was on her first live broadcast, marveling at what G+ could do that no other network had ever done to bring people together (and launch a music career right in front of us!)
The Dali Lama was also one of the first major Hangouts on G+. That was an incredible piece of history I’ll never forget. “Special” just isn’t a word I’d use to describe any other social network.
It might not have 900 million users yet, but when it does, and it will, those users will have a lot more special experiences than they ever had on Facebook.
