Search Engine Journal’s Loren Baker dug up some dirt from the weekend…
“Google’s Chief Counsel David Drummond responded on the Google Blog (about the $32 per share offer from Microsoft) that Yahoo is not just another company, but a cornerstone of the Internet and Microsoft’s policiy of monopolistic practices may then extend beyond the PC onto the world wide web.” SEJ, 2.3.08
Apparently Google and Yahoo have rejoined talks they were in before. Some sort of alliance could be forming between them to prevent the hostile buyout attempt by Microsoft.
