Tagging and social bookmarking are what I call “Social Power Linking.” And it works! A tiny fraction of internet marketers know about it, care about it, or use it.
Which means you should!
If you post to your blog and “tag” keywords pertinent to your content in the proper format, Technorati will find your tags the next time you post and include you in the keyword or Tag pages for those keywords or phrases.
You will see the example below this post. It is an under-utilized and powerful way to get links from authority sites that use social bookmarking and tagging to organize the web.
Most marketers do not and probably never will be hip to this tactic, and all you have to do is go grab the free WordPress plugin called “Simple Tags” that allows you to tag within and at the end of each future post you make on your blog.
