Before this question is answered, I just want to say a big “thank you” to Jack for getting me started on using wordpress blogs. I’m happy to be able to write to his audience today.

Back to the question: Are WordPress Blogs Really Suitable For Affiliate Marketing?

For sure, wordpress is great for affiliate marketing, there are so many reasons why, here are some of them…..

Easy Installation:
As long as your webhost has cpanel & fantastico, you can install it in just one click. More details on how to install WordPress in a few clicks.

SEO-Friendly Properties By Default:
Wordpress out of the box without modification is good but with a few basic modifications, it’s great! You make your WordPress blogs even more SEO-friendly with these 3 simple modifications.

Easy Customization:
It’s not too hard to customize your wordpress blog. By reading Jack’s Blog, Friday Traffic Report, you’ll get tips & tricks on doing that. If you want more detailed methods to customize your wordpress blogs, just go to some webmaster forums & ask around, you’ll be surprised that many people can answer you.

If you insist that you don’t want to learn it yourself, it’s not hard or expensive to hire someone to do it for you. Try hiring free lancers from webmaster forums, from personal experience, I’ve hired a few great coders from there. They are great value for money too.

The best idea to make wordpress blogs more friendly for affiliate marketing is right here.

There are lots of great wordpress plugins available but there are 2 particular ones that make affiliate marketing such a breeze…..

Alinks Plugin:
What exactly does the “A” in Alinks stand for? In my humble opinion, the “A” stands for the word “affiliate”. That is exactly what this plugin is good for. You can easily add your affiliate links.

You can predefine which keywords link to which affiliate product. This links will show in your blog posts.

You can even make the links open in a new browser, this is one of the ways to keep a visitor on your blog for a longer time.

Add Signature Plugin:
This adds a signature at the end of all your blog posts. You can add HTML, plain text or even a graphic with an affiliate link.

It is recommended that you add keyword rich text links. You can either link it to your other blogs, your own product or even an affiliate product.

How I started using wordpress blogs…..

As an affiliate marketer, I spent lots of time, energy & money on paid search, especially pay-per-click traffic. Soon I discovered certain keywords converted very well so I started writing content based on those keywords.

As the writing got more, I started to build more pages, (using nothing but FrontPage). Each time I added a new page, I had to go through all the other pages to add more links on them, this was quite a waste of time.

Then I found Jack Humphrey…..

I started to listen to his interviews on mp3, read his blog & whatever material he wrote. Then I found out that it is worth my time to learn how to use WordPress for affiliate marketing & content building.

After taking time to learn as much as I could about WordPress, I started to see more traffic come in without paid search! Previously all my traffic were from paid search.

That’s not all, with more traffic, the conversion rate also went up! The best part is – all I did was to set up wordpress once & keep publishing on it. Now I get affiliate sales from both paid search & organic search results.

If I can do it, you can do the same too.

Thanks again, Jack.
