I have said in the past that creating [tag]link bait[/tag] is a great way to generate easy, non reciprocal links and traffic. Well, this post is a prime example of the result of link baiting. Tim did something cool, and I am linking to it.
Will the traffic I send Tim through this example be targeted? Not if everyone who visits my site is married. What are the chances of that?
The game is custom built. Does that intimidate you or make you think it’s something you couldn’t do for your site because it is “technical?”
It shouldn’t. It should come as a wake up call that you can have a [tag-ice]viral marketing[/tag-ice] tool like this for your site and it shouldn’t be expensive or hard.
All you need is an idea for something that works for your market.
